First African- American Woman to Score a Patent for a Natural Haircare Product.

At the time when Gwen Jimmere invented a new haircare product, she didn’t know it was going to be a success. She also didn’t know she’d be the first African American woman to hold a U.S. patent for a natural haircare product. The natural hair industry is estimated to be a $2.7 billion industry, and it’s under a resurgence. For Gwen, when she saw the documentary Good Hair by comedian Chris Rock, she quickly realized how unhealthy most hair products were to use. She also learned how the industry was often led and owned by those not purchasing the product.

All of that is changing, and Gwen is
helping to lead the way. “I grew up in a household where if you can’t find it, you can make it,” she says. “I created the Moroccan Rhassoul
5-in-1 Clay Treatment out of necessity. Having natural hair can be very time consuming and expensive, taking two or three hours to complete your haircare regimen on what we call wash day and costing hundreds in haircare products each month.”

As a new mom, she didn’t have time
anymore for two to three-hour wash days, so she developed something that would allow her to cut time. Gwen was also troubled that many products labeled as natural actually didn’t appear to have many natural ingredients. So she invented her own, and when friends of friends ,and strangers, started to buy her product, she knew she was onto something. In 2013, she formed her company NATURALICIOUS.

It was soon after, when she found herself laid off from her job as a global marketing director at Ford while being just a month away from finalizing her divorce, when the
newly single mom put all of her effort into taking the leap. Now, two and a half years later, her company has hit the seven- figure mark with a product that’s patent protected and sold around the world.
But obtaining a patent was no easy feat. As a single mom, Gwen couldn’t afford the fees to hire a patent lawyer. Instead, she spent six months researching and studying how to file one for herself. She did spend what was needed on filing fees and hired help researching prior art. It also helped that Detroit also has a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office -- one of only six in the country.

“I saved between $8,000 and $18,000 by filing on my own, but it did take me six months to learn patent law,” she says. “I made really good friends with the librarians who helped me during that time.” The approved patent is for the new
application of the clay based product imported from Morocco, which is a cleanser that also works as a conditioner, deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner and de-tangler all in one. The product cuts down a traditional wash day to a less than an hour. Gwen also guarantees
a two-month trial period. If you don’t like the product, she’ll gives 100 percent of your money back, and buy you a competitor's’ product to replace it. That’s a big guarantee but to date she hasn’t had to take anything back.

Gwen hopes to encourage all
entrepreneurs to consider ownership over their products, to think in terms of trademarks and patents and not just to share a product with friends.
“The patent gives me leverage and can be a part of wealth building. I really want women entrepreneurs to start legally owning our creations via intellectual property. We innovate incredible things all the time,” she says. “Consider patenting these inventions. Think about protecting
yourself, your business and your legacy.”

Hope this article will motivate you to achieving your goals in life most especially this 2016? You will succeed.

Opportunities of Making Money Online at Home

It is no secret that the internet is
laden with wonderful opportunities
in order to make more money.
During these hard times when
anyone will surely grab at the
chance to earn that extra buck to
help him sustain his daily needs, any prospect at making money online at home would be a great idea.

Many people have taken up the call
to make more money via the cyberspace due to the pressing needs of the times. If you are still
part of the skeptical who do not think that there are many viable money making prospects while you are logged on to the internet, it is
suggested that you read on and be enlightened by this article on the different opportunities of
making money online at home.

One of the various ways of making money online at home is through internet or affiliate marketing. If you already have your own personal website or blog which you regularly
update, perhaps it is now time for you to make money off it through internet marketing. This marketing concept basically allows a person to
advertise or sell his products or services over the website for a targeted audience to see. Now
if your website or blog has a daily following, then you may want to add banner ads or include web links of your clients to your site. When your readers go through your site, they may then click through the links or the banner ads that you have added to your site.

Internet marketing is a good home based online business especially if you are knowledgeable in this area as majority if not all of the companies these days make use of internet or online marketing to advertise and sell their products.
Furthermore, it is virtually easy to maintain and you are hardworking enough to keep it going.

Another way of making money online at home is by becoming a virtual assistant or freelance
writer for outsourcing companies. Many companies these days hire people online because it helps them get the job done on time and at the same time they are able to hire more
competent people to do the job regardless of where the person may be around the globe. Another good prospect of making money online
even when at home is through the selling of your handicrafts or baked goodies over the net.

If you happen to be a good cook or baker or perhaps are simply just good at creating knick knacks for the home, then it is time to bring your products to a wider market. Through the internet, you will be able to reach more people who may want to try out your products which thus in returns means cash flow for you.
The idea of making money online at home is no longer unusual. It has become so commonplace in any part of the world because of the obvious need of people to create more means of making a living for their respective families.

As long as you know that the job that you do is nothing bad or illegal, there is actually nothing to be ashamed of when you say that you make money doing work online.

If you are ready to create multiple streams of income in 2016, think of online home business. There're tons of information regarding this topic online for you to self educate yourself. Don't sit and wait for white collar job, your boss may fire you today so before he do while not get him FIRED! You will succeed.

6 Tips to Success From a 7-Time Entrepreneur (Levi King). 

Levi King is the founder of Nav (formerly Creditera), which is dedicated to guiding business owners on business credit scores and the complex world of financing a business. But, this venture it isn’t his first rodeo. Having successfully founded seven businesses in areas ranging from manufacturing to technology, plus investing in a host of others, he’s learned some compelling lessons along the way.

I have been lucky to hear some of Levi’s best advice. Here are six of
his most powerful lessons that can benefit other entrepreneurs.

1. Do what others aren’t willing
to do.

He’s not the first to say it, but Levi knows first-hand that one of the keys to entrepreneurial success is being willing and able to do what others won’t do. One example came from his former manufacturing business, where he found that his greatest success in gaining new
customers was from cold calls. Levi
hated making those calls, but he knew that if he spent the majority of his time doing them, he would not only get better at them, but garner more business.

Many entrepreneurs might stop after a few calls or drag them out over long periods of time instead of focusing on them in every spare minute or instead of pursuing
business minutiae that doesn’t add value. If you want to be successful, you have to get out of your comfort zone and relentlessly pursue the types of activities  that lead to growth.

2. Don’t take it personally.

Another lesson from his cold calling days was not to take it personally when someone didn’t return a call. Levi’s strategy was to keep track of his calls and reference the number on the voice mail. He had one prospect he called 92 times. Each time, he said something along the lines of, “It’s Levi King and this
is the XXth voicemail I have left, and I want to get a hold of you because I
believe that I can be helpful to you,”
keeping the messaging positive.
He didn’t take it personally when people didn’t return his calls, they were just busy. When he met the man he called 92 times at a trade show, the gentleman joked that he was going to punch him for leaving so many voicemails. However, he
then acknowledged that he knew who Levi was, and he hadn’t returned the call only because he was waiting on a budget decision. That persistence and positive
attitude helped Levi stay focused on
sales, instead of letting his ego hold him back.

3. Experience the pain, then train.

Getting out of your comfort zone can be challenging as being an entrepreneur and creates the desire to delegate that task to someone else. However, Levi says that
you should never delegate a task until you have experienced the pain of the task yourself.
Taking a “feel the pain, then train”
strategy means that you will know exactly what the opportunities and pitfalls are of that particular task. Then, you can use your passion for the business and knowledge of the tasks together to be more effective at training an employee. Without the firsthand knowledge, you won’t get the most out of your employees,
especially in areas like sales.

4. Hire hidden gems.

Levi says that many companies are
inclined to hire those with fancy resumes that use big buzzwords and have top-tier educations. But, he advocates that you don’t rule out the underdogs. “They have something to prove,” he said. He also says that those types often have to start
somewhere else and ultimately go find their passion by switching roles, so keep an eye out for those who know what they want and are hungry. He also advocates looking beyond the first interview. “Interviewing is a skill,” he says, which doesn’t translate into
whether that person will be a good
employee. “People who are nervous in a first interview might be able to be better evaluated in a second interview when they are more relaxed,” Levi suggests. He
also says to take them on an office tour and ask your interview questions more causally as you walk. That will put people’s guard down, and you can often make better judgments. He does warn to beware of people who switch jobs frequently. Once is ok, twice
maybe if they have a long history, but those that leave every nine months should raise a red flag, no matter how stellar their explanation.

5. Embrace that there are at least
20 right ways to do something.

As opposed to quickly getting rid of the tasks that are outside of their comfort zone, most entrepreneurs have a hard time delegating the things that they like to do or are good at, believing that nobody
can do these tasks as well as they can. But, this unwillingness to delegate over time creates a cap to growth. Levi says that you have to embrace that there are “at least 20 right ways to do something
and around three wrong ways.” If
someone is not actually doing it one of the three wrong ways, then it’s right; it’s just a different method than you would have picked. Getting comfortable with that notion will allow entrepreneurs to ultimately focus on the strategy and growth of the business.

6. Know how others see you.

Levi’s biggest lesson came at an early age, when he had a falling out with a co- founder over his spur-of-the-moment firing of an employee. This led to them implementing 360-degree reviews, where all team members gave anonymous
feedback. To Levi’s surprise, his team viewed him differently than he viewed himself, giving him strong marks where he thought he was weak and vice versa. That led to a realization that other people’s reality is reality in business. He advocates finding out how others view
you as a leader and also how they view your company and not getting defensive but rather using that as a way to realign how you communicate and do business.

Having had to get out of my own comfort zone a number of times (including quitting that stressful day job) and being particular myself launching out with my idea, talent, skills and passion and about the way things get done, I know firsthand how valuable this advice
can be.

I hope you will consider doing things differently like Levi suggests above as a way to grow yourself -- and your business. You will succeed.

Success is Knowing What To Let Go!

It sometimes seems like the high
achievers in business are superheroes. They have stellar work records, amazing families, healthy bodies and still have time left for charity work. You’re working hard to get ahead, but can’t seem to fit everything in. How are they doing it? The answer: They probably aren’t, and you shouldn’t either. Even top executives make sacrifices. Instead, examine your work-life balance using this checklist, and take stock of your priorities.

1. Accept that you can’t have it all.
Everything can not fit at the same time. Career, family, health and hobbies, just to name a few, all compete for your time and your emotional and physical energy. Whether your priority is to focus on your career or to maximize your time with a young family, it is important to make conscious choices about what you need and what will make you happy. Just analyze move before taking a step.

2. Set your boundaries.
Clearly set expectations for yourself and others about where and when you will be fully present with your work, your family, your schoolwork, etc. Whether you plan to be home for every family dinner, work out three mornings a week or answer every e-mail within an hour, be gentle but firm in your intentions. Set your boundaries to maintain momentum and preserve your energy, and be flexible only when you want to be.

3. Build and nurture your support network. Your colleagues, your partner, your parents. Consider how the people in your personal and professional life empower and enable you to meet your goals. Are you asking for help when you need it? Also consider what you contribute to these relationships, and how you plan to maintain them.
Consider “outsourcing” what you can’t prioritize — cleaning the house, mowing the lawn or planning a holiday vacation.

4. Set goals for yourself, for now and for later. Once you’ve accepted that you have to prioritize, set goals on what you are going to focus on, and when. Examining how you spend your time now — and what you’d like to change — is an invaluable exercise.

5. Plan to reassess and take stock regularly. Bear in mind that what’s important right now (a family situation, a career opportunity, a degree or certification) will evolve over time. No one’s life plan is set in stone forever. You will need to consistently spend time checking in and evaluating your needs . Take the time to reassess on a regular basis. Whether you do this alone, with a mentor or with a professional coach , make sure that you plan to check in regularly.

Take the time to reflect on your progress so far and to congratulate yourself on what’s working, in addition to changing what is not working and to find a solution. Forget about having it all, and focus on having what’s important. When you’re clear on your overall success plan, you will feel a lot closer to achieving balance. You will succeed.

How To Create Unique Name For Your Business, Products And Services.

The name of your business is
important--it's one of the first
things potential customers know
about it. And having unique names
for each of your products and
services can be a powerful selling tool. One way to make yourself and your business attractive is
to have something exclusive and enticing, promising benefits. Good names for your business, products and services can do that.

Good names market for you.
Do you have a hard time coming up with names? Perhaps you called your business ABC Enterprises, because you just couldn't think of
anything else. What does that name say about you and what you do? Nothing. It doesn't tell customers why they would want to do business with you, because they have no
idea what it is that you do, or who you do it for. Here's my favorite way to come up with a name. I call it "Idea Storming." OK, I just did it
to you. Marketing with a name, that is. "SucceesBoost" is a name I came up with to describe one of my services.

Brainstorming has been done to death. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt from the seminar. Idea Storming puts a slight twist on it. You recognize the concept,
but it has a different name, and it ties to my Idea identity. Not a spectacular example, but see how it works? Anyway, I help my clients to Idea Storm, but here's how you can do it on your own. Get a piece of paper and a pen. Write down every
word or phrase you can think of to describe your business. What do you do? Who are your clients? What results do you get for them? What words would your clients use to describe what you do? How would they describe the feeling they got doing business with you? Why is your business better than others?

Once you've got a nice, long list, keep going. Get out your thesaurus (or use the one in your word processor) to come up with words with meanings similar to what you wrote down. Scan books and magazine articles for words and
phrases that jump off the page at you. Talk to friends and associates, and get them to Idea Storm with you. Now, take your list and start combining the words and phrases. Take this word and add it
to that one. Use this phrase, but substitute that word. Take pieces of two words and make a brand new word. I've used this method to come up with lots of names and titles over the last few years.

This is how I created names such as The SuccessBoost, richest business ideas, and many more. Another great benefit of Idea Storming is that
even the words and phrases you don't use in your name can be used in a slogan, on your business cards, in sales letters, in brochures and
in other marketing materials (in my live & business coach i use.....Think Positive).

Try this techniques it really works. You will succeed. Share thus article and post your comments.

How To Set Yourself Free From YOU!

I know how many times I've heard the phrase "I don't need this right now" or "I don't have time for this". No matter what you tell them, they've got their answers ready.

In a world filled with so much potential, innovation, evolution and growth, we limit ourselves with the own words that we speak out of our mouths. When the Wright Brothers
decided to fly that airplane, they weren't being logical - in fact they had a million reasons to not fight for their dream, because this was a
project that no one had ever worked on. They had a lack of resources, lack of knowledge, and lack of support; but all that didn't matter
because their determination and desire to see their goal come to fruition triumphed over everything else.

Thomas Edison had this ridiculous idea that he would create incandescent light. He was
ridiculed, he was laughed at, and to top it all off he failed ten thousand times. My big question is, did this man give up? No he didn't - In fact, he kept going until he succeeded. Incandescent light doesn't sound like a ridiculous idea anymore,
does it?

This is the essence of what i teach at s
"SuccessBoost Motivation". I want you to dream big, i want you to forget about logic and direct all your power and resources toward your dream; because once you get
going, your dream won't seem so ridiculous anymore. It won't seem so impossible anymore. And when you do accomplish it, the people around you will start to believe in your
potential.

Every step you take to get closer to
your goal gives the person beside you much more courage to do the same! The universe has all the resources we need, we just need to open up our minds to dream
bigger, think bigger! Everything changes when we make that decision. When that decision is
made, and we back that goal with our desire and commitment, nothing will ever stand in your way.
So stop yourself from standing in your own way.

Stop telling yourself that your own dreams are not possible. Be illogical, be silly - but be different. Because that's what all happy and
successful people are: unique.
Listen to that voice inside you, that intuition, that energy full of potential and talent that flows within you. You make your own reality, you create your own life. Take charge, and do
what you love. You'll shock yourself with what you can accomplish!

Success is for everybody but only the brave one have it with the right attitude and positive thinking. You will succeed.

A Good Servant Becomes A Good LEADER.

Are you aware that more than 20.000 books are published per year on leadership ranging from how to be an effective leader, how to grow into being a leader if you’re not one, what qualities constitute a good leader. And it’s not just books — there are Newspapers, websites, magazines, blogs, training seminars, not to mention graduate degrees from major universities.

The market for leadership development seems unlimited. Why? Because nearly everyone sees him or herself as a leader, or at least a potential one. Leadership seems to be the holy grail for which all
business people should be striving. But what if there is another side to this coin? What if leadership is not always where your focus should be?

Here’s the nugget: You can’t be a leader unless you have willing followers. So you must follow first. You must learn to be a good follower.

You need to see life from the trenches, understand the mindset of
those you may one day lead. Here are four key factors in developing your followership skills:

1. Embrace the role. If leadership is your long-term goal, following other leaders provides you with a safe environment to learn from them and to develop your own leadership tactics without carrying the
weight of total responsibility for the
results. Then when your time comes to lead, you’ll have the tools you need so you can set an example from which others can learn. Don’t miss this opportunity by going after the leadership role too quickly.

2. Have a servant mentality. Few people become wildly successful by themselves. They serve others, teach others and give from the heart. If you aspire to leadership, think about where you are, where you want to go, then come from a
mindset where you put others first.
Study leadership principles, then
practice and teach as many others as you can. The more success you can create for others, the more you will enjoy for yourself.

3. Make your boss look good. Every leader looks for followers who can get the job done and done well. That won’t happen with half-hearted commitment. If you are a good follower, you’re out there giving it your best every day. You know
that everything you do reflects back onto your leader and your entire team. Good followers give their best effort toward completing the work that’s assigned to them, knowing it reflects not only their efforts, but the efforts of the leader and the entire team.

4. Support the leader’s vision. Make certain you understand where your leader is headed. If you don’t already know, ask questions. Talk with your leader in big- picture terms . Be a vocal champion for the vision to your team members and others in your sphere of influence. When
you actively promote your leader’s
dreams, your leader will promote you. The door to leadership is wide open. But before you walk through it, you need the time and space to prepare. If you want to be a great leader, begin by asking, “How
can I be a better follower? How can I
make my boss more successful?” Act on the answers to those questions, and you will be ready when the door opens.

In all, if you want to be a leader then you must be ready to be a good servant. That is the first entry level to becoming a good leader. You will succeed.

Boosting Your Blog Traffic

To increase blog traffic, SEO and backlinks building might seem like rocket science but in reality it's just a matter of knowing what to do,
and more importantly, consistently doing it. Those are the three most important tasks when you create online content and can be very time
consuming. To do all this in one single step is not impossible and actually it's fun. The best of
it you can do with every new and old article you write or have written in the past.

The first and most important task, of course, is to create unique, valuable, reader-focused content. Content that will solve a problem your audience might have.

1) You've got to do keyword research. So that you know what words or phrases people use to
find you. (Blog Traffic)

2) You've got to optimize your reader-focused content the way that search engines know what you are writing about.

3) You've got to build backlinks to your site to create credibility with
search engines and your audience. (Backlinks) That's basically it. The three most important tasks you have to do effectively and consistently without wasting time. It will
increase your blog traffic, you will get higher rankings and more incoming one way links
(Backlinks).

There are thousands of content creators who do all of these three fundamental tasks right from
WordPress ( Joomla, or Drupal). And there are more web writers who use a web-based application to create outstanding SEO content,
boost traffic and create backlinks for their clients to use in any content management system.
Scribe SEO is an online application you can optimize your content with. A web version and a plugin for WordPress, Joomla or Drupal. So, you can optimizing your content right from your WordPress (Joomla, Drupal) admin panel.

It's working for new and old articles/blog posts you already have written.
You can evaluate your content, perform keyword research and build backlinks at the very moment you are writing your content. All in one
single step. But that's not all - here is the second part for EzineArticles fans. When you are working on article marketing with
EzineArticles and want to find an easy way to have every article you publish approved according to EzineArticles guidelines, I would
suggest to install the WordPress plugin from EzineArticles.

You can find it in the authors area
under Authors Tools. I did the test. First I used a blog post I have
already written and evaluated it. There is a score of 0-100. Scribe SEO is checking the content on various SEO crucial information and
provides alternate targeted keywords for you to use. My first score was 83 and I changed the
content and keywords according to the suggestion until my score was 100%. Than I analyze the same piece of content with the EzineArticles plugin right from the admin panel in WordPress and it was ready to submit. The article was accepted, like this one and the
best thing I knew it before. Mission
accomplished, time saved, better ranking and tons of valuable backlink sources. Scribe is
boosting blog traffic, search engine optimization and back link building in one Single Step and this is fun.

When you are serious about article marketing, search engine optimization and link building for
your blog, Scribe SEO and the EzineArticles plugin is a 'must have' in my opinion. Hope you enjoy this article? Please share.

Blog Mistakes YOU Should Avoid. (Part-2)

Like i said before, many small business owners do some mistakes online. Here are the 2nd part of the mistakes and how to avoid them. If you missed the first part, read it (HERE)

1. Long sentences. When people read long sentences, they have to keep the first part of the sentence in their mind when reading the last part. People are easily distracted. Help your visitors by keeping your sentences short, attractive and simole.

2. Long pages. Studies show that most people will not read a long page of text off of their computer
monitor. They’ll either print it or they’ll scan it looking for major topics and bullet points. Keep
your pages short. If you have a lot to say, consider creating a series of pages that explain your topic, with good navigation between each
page. Also, since people DO print web pages to read later, make sure your contact information is at the bottom of each page.

3. Not identifying the benefits of your products or services. People make purchases for two reasons: to get rid of pain or to get pleasure. People want to know how your products and services will help them with their specific pain/pleasure situation. Instead of telling them that your life jacket are made from steel, tell them that your life-jackets will help them float on water till rescuers come to save them..

  4. Forgetting to ask the visitor to do something. In marketing, this is known as a Call To Action. Tell
your visitors what you want them to do next. Sign up for my newsletter. Call me. Order today.

5. Believing in “build it and they will come.” It might have worked in the movie Field Of Dreams, but the reality of internet marketing is: build it, MARKET it, and they will come. Once you’ve built your website you have to tell people about it. Think of your website the same way you’d
think of a box of marketing brochures: if you don’t get them into the hands of people, they’re not
worth the money you spent to create them. Hope you now know how to make your website a traffic jam for visitors? Please share this post.

Blog Mistakes YOU Should Avoid. (Part-1)

Although personal and business websites have been in existence for more than 15 years, I’m still
seeing small business owners make the same mistakes on their websites. Here’s a list of the ones that will drive people away from your site and cause you to lose business (and your reputation as a professional business person).

1. "Under construction" signs on your site. Websites are intended to be Living Documents. They are
supposed to change and grow. Putting an “under construction” sign on your website marks you as
an amateur. If your site isn’t ready to show to the public, don’t publish it to a public location.

2. Visitor counters. Visitors generally don’t care how many other people have visited your site. If the visitor counter shows a low number, that can be a psychological turn-off to people; if it’s too high, people might believe that you’ve forged the
number. Take the visitor counter off your site and use your website statistics to get a more accurate assessment of the people visiting your site. If your hosting company doesn’t provide good statistics, get a new one.

3. Lack of copyright statements. Everything you write, and your website design itself, is copyright-
able. Make sure you include copyright statements on every page, and update the year in the
copyright statement as appropriate. Nothing screams “not-up-to-date” like having a copyright statement from 1995 on your site.

4. Overuse of technology. There are some really great, cool and wild techie things you can program into your website. But if they are going
to distract the visitor from your message, or if they’re going to slow down the loading of your page, ditch the extra technology in favor of
simplicity. This includes large Flash shows when your site opens, animated graphics and other
large graphics, as well as scrolling text and audio that comes on as soon as the person hits your
website. Recent surveys show that people crave simplicity and easy navigation in sites.

5. Passive verbs. Use active verbs and active sentences when writing your site’s copy. Active verbs are powerful and lend energy to your site. Need to brush up on using active verbs?

Reflect on this points and make sure you work on them till i post the part two of this article. You can subscribe to our email newsletter to receive the article direct to your email. You will succeed

How to Start a Courier Service Business In Nigeria

Have you thought of this business before? I guess you are not aware that its a lucrative service business that requires no Phd in whatever discipline to start it. The good news is that the courier service business has more than enough room for new players. If your dream is to start your own courier service business.
This article offers tips on starting and running a courier service business.

The best way to go about starting a courier service business is by exploring your available options.
What i mean here is that you can operate a courier service in several ways. You can even team up with any established courier company and have them subcontract your
business or it can be JV. When you subcontract, you do the
legwork for your client company.

That is the essence of your role. You provide all the logistics necessary to pickup and deliver parcels successfully to your clients or to your office. Subcontracting is an ideal option for people with
limited know-how of the industry and is the perfect way to ease your way in the courier service world and it avails you the opportunity to learn and understand the business more. It is also the least expensive option. Yes, you don’t get to spend much.
This option leaves you with the
lowest profit and growth potential.

Starting your own courier service from scratch on the other hand
gives you the highest profit potential. It also provides you the chance to expand your business
much faster compared to subcontracting. However, be prepared to shell out more capital
initially. In starting a courier service, expect to be very busy with decisions to make.

Decide on what type of parcels you want to deliver. Will your service be limited to envelopes and small packages or will the maximum kg be 10,20 or 50? Will you include large
cargoes? Your decision here will depend on the capacity of your storage and transport vehicles. Do you want to deliver sensitive cargoes such as medical and industrial chemicals? If so,
you and your crew must be knowledgeable in handling these substances. Do you want to
deliver perishable goods? Considering that this type of cargo is time sensitive, your transportation and manpower resources must be
adequate.

You must have manned units readily
available at a moments notice. The ability to deliver a wide variety of cargo will augment your potential to earn. However, expect to spend more
initially. Take delivering perishable goods for example. You may need to invest on refrigerated trucks for this.
Decide on the scope for your service area. In other words, define the limit of your parcel destination. Up to what part of the globe do you
intend to deliver? Will your service be limited to a single state? foe example will you be limited to Lagos state alone or more states? Cam you deliver packages from state to state? Keep in mind that the wider your geographic scope, the bigger the amount you need to invest
at start-up.

Requirements.

Find out what requirements you need. What registration you need from local government to state. Obtain all the necessary documents and permits. Get your business name registered under C.A.C. get all the legal requirements.  Know what type of goods, items that are allowed in your country.

Where To Get Clients.

You can start from a friend and that your friend will introduce you to his or her friends, distribute flyers, use word or mouth, go to market places. Talk to those that buy small goods from China,USA,Japan,Dubai etc, they will be happy to let you help them pick up and deliver their packages. You can only buy their trust if you are trustworthy yourself.

Decide on how much to charge your customers. There are several factors to consider in setting up a price list:

1. Thing to consider is the cost of fuel, gas or transport that will convey you or the package from point A to point B.
2. The number of parcel deliveries to be made at a particular area.
 3. The rate your competition charges their customers. Don't charge too high or too low.

You need to be very careful in picking up and delivering of packages, some may be contra band, arms or any illegal stuff that will get you into trouble so make sure you know what you are collecting and you can find out this by scanning all the packages before delivering. Also make sure you deliver to the right person and right address, avoid third party issue. Get insurance as well. Get a good office in a good and accessible location.

Don't limit your knowledge go out and find more about this business, use the internet and ask questions. If you are really serious in starting your own courier service, be
advised that you must gain hands-on experience in the industry. Try to get experience by working for a courier service company may be for 3 or 6 months. This way you will know more about the business and how the system works. You will succeed.

Six Creativity Habits For People Who Think They're Not Creative

Everyone is creative. (No, really.) Here's how to unleash your best ideas. Think about the roles and responsibilities in your office. There are probably people you think of as "creative"—maybe those in product
or graphic design, marketing, and even sales.

Then there are those who don’t immediately spring to mind when that word is used. But thinking about people—or yourself—as "not creative" could be hurting your company, because you’re discouraging them from thinking in innovative ways before they can
even do so, says Mark Prommel, a partner at Pensa, a Brooklyn-based design and invention
firm. "Ideas and the creative execution of those ideas comes from anyone, anywhere," he says.

Does your workplace have creative
designations? Use these six tips to create a culture where everyone’s creativity is stoked.

HABIT NO. 1: BANISH "YEAH, BUT"
If Leslie Ehm, president and "chief fire starter" at Toronto creativity training firm Combustion,
could give organizations only one piece of advice to encourage creativity, it would be "to ban the phrase ‘yeah, but,’" she says. "'Yeah,
but’ is just ‘no’ in a dress." Change the phrase to, "Yeah, and." That simple change suddenly confirms the original person’s contribution as
valuable and builds on it. People don’t feel shut down. That’s collaboration in action, she says.

HABIT NO. 2: GET NEW PEOPLE AROUND A TABLE
One of the quickest ways to get people who think they aren’t creative to shed that viewpoint and start to contribute is to get them around a table brainstorming and coming up with solutions with a diverse group
of people, says Jay Mathur, founder of valueideas, a creativity and management consultancy. The interaction with new people
can bring perspectives never before considered and spur new ideas within the group, he says.
"If you bring a diversity of ideas, this is where a collision of ideas happen and the energy that releases new ideas. It can combine ideas. It
can create more refined ideas," he says. A 2015 study by researchers at Rice University and elsewhere backs a similar concept. The researchers looked at sales representatives at
a pharmaceutical company in China. Those with wide networks of contacts came up with more creative solutions to sales and marketing challenges.

HABIT NO. 3: GIVE YOUR EMPLOYEES FREEDOM
It’s important to have job descriptions so that people can get things done and know the benchmarks by which they’re being measured. However, leaders who are trying to create a culture of creativity also need to reward—or, at the very least, not discourage—people from
contributing beyond the confines of their roles, Ehm says. She cites a team she’s currently training where employees are worried about
whether they’ll actually be allowed to contribute once the training is over. "We keep saying to them, ‘Leadership is saying yes,’ [and they say,] ‘But, when we get back to the regular kind of workflow, and we
have to do things fast, are they going to allow us to do it?’" she says. Make sure your own culture isn’t causing this type of creative
hesitation. And encourage people to question processes, Prommel says. Let people know that if they see a better way to do something, it’s not only okay to speak up—it’s valued.

HABIT NO. 4: REWARD THE EFFORT EVEN IF IT'S A FAILURE
Ehm defines creativity as"combining previously uncombined thoughts and ideas to create new thoughts and ideas. Once you’ve gotten people to do that, you need to reward
the effort, rather than the outcome," she says. "Hierarchically, everyone is rewarded for coming up with the right answer, to sort of smooth the rough spots in the process. There's not a lot of room for rewarding or
celebrating the risk and the failure. You can't have creativity without failure," she says.

HABIT NO. 5: WORK ON NEW PROJECTS
Grinding out the same old projects every day can burn out even the brightest creative light. At Pensa, Prommel and his team try to carve
out time to think about projects on which they’d like to work, or areas in which they’re interested and think of ideas. Give employees time to think about the projects on which they’d like to work and try to get them
involved on those teams, he says. Letting employees be part of projects that excite them
is going to stir creativity. Plus, contributions from people who have fresh perspectives can help bring forth new ideas.

HABIT NO. 6: KEEP AT IT
Creating a culture of creativity won’t happen overnight, Ehm says. Just like any other change, you need to keep encouraging your employees, and have them encourage each
other, to adopt this new way of thinking until it sticks, she says.

Hope this article will help change your negative mind and spur you to start creating a better live for yourself. You will succeed.

Social Proof is the Key to Influencer Marketing

The proof is in the pudding. How many times have we heard that? However, when comes to building a brand it holds true 100% of the time. When companies have social proof of repeated positive interactions with their customers it builds trust in the marketplace which increases conversion rates of new
customers.

Traditional advertising efforts are
declining in their effectiveness.
Consumers have been marketed to so profusely that they have become
resistant to almost all claims made in advertisements. There is simply so much noise that consumers have largely shut down and tune out commercials.

They simply don't place any value in the claims made by marketers unless they can be validated from actual proof from within the marketplace. Consumers simply would prefer to find out what others are saying rather than placing
faith in what advertisers are telling
them. Social proof builds consumer trust.

Here are a few ways B2B marketers can use build social proof to increase conversion rates:

Create case studies from successful
customers. Demonstrating how existing customers have benefited from a brand's services establishes credibility. Share the to your website and social media. Write blogs that tell the company's story, demonstrate industry thought leadership, document success, highlight talented employees, and create engagement.

Encourage customers to leave online
reviews and publish them to the
company website. The sales team should seek recommendations from existing customers via LinkedIn that can be displayed on their profiles.
Ask an influential existing customers to give a testimonial via a quote. Then share the quote via social media. Prominently feature awards, mentions in the media, or any other positive rankings or ratings via social media.
Leverage numbers when possible. People are far more likely to take a certain action if they know others have already done it.

If a company has 75,000
subscribers to their eNewsletter making that known lends credibility and encourages new users to do sign up. Always retweet and share positive customer interactions on social media. Once a company has an understanding of how to leverage their social proof, they become truly influential within their industry. The key to influencer marketing is what others are saying about a brand, not what the brand is saying about itself.

A Lesson From The River By Karyn Greenstreet

This summer has been a time of turmoil and change in my life. But as often as I can, I go to the river and sit on a large rock, allowing the
sights and sounds and the energy to open my heart and soul to the flow of the Universe. Two days ago, I went to the river with this question in
mind: What are the really important lessons in life? As always, the river provided answers:

1. Walking along the riverbank, I noticed how the extended drought had left the rocks exposed. A week ago, this was a desolate area full of mud and rocks. Today, growing among the rocks, was purple loosestrife, clinging to whatever small bit of soil it could find now that the river had moved away from the banks. The lesson: No matter how bad things are, there is always a little soil you can cling to, and in that soil, you can create life again. Never lose hope.

2. At my feet I found an opened mussel shell, probably the remains of some hungry raccoon’s nightly feast. The outside of the shell was dark brown, covered with dirt and algae, nearly unnoticeable in among the rocks at the riverbank. Yet when I looked inside the shell, the
iridescent pinks, mauves and creams made me sigh with wonderment. The lesson: What looks
ugly on the outside can have, inside it, a small piece of joy and beauty. Take the time to discover the beauty in all things.

3. I sat on a large, flat rock that overhangs the river where the rapids begin. The wind was blowing
warm and fast from the south, bringing with it gray clouds and rain showers. Overhead, several large predatory birds circled and climbed on the winds. At first I thought they were searching for food, but soon it became clear that they were simply enjoying a ride on the wind. The lesson: Be “in the moment” as much as possible, enjoy the simple things that life brings you, and take time to play every day.

4. The wind picked up and I knew rain was coming, but I was loathe to leave this peaceful place. I noticed that there were few insects around; the wind was simply too much for them. However, an industrious bumble bee was attempting multiple
landings on the loosestrife, despite how the wind buffeted him away from his target again and again. The lesson: Persevere. Even when the
winds of life push you around, always be the best Self you can possibly be.

I hope you did learn life changing lesson? Share this article and post your comments, thanks.

Good leaders lead with common sense. Foolish leaders believe they can take more out of life than they put in. Well, maybe it isn’t
foolishness. Maybe it’s arrogance. Only God never runs dry. Normal people know that everyone who pours out more than they pour in goes dry.

Responsibility: Your energy-tank is your responsibility. Don’t expect teammates to fill it do it yourself because they believed in you.
Below are the refueling strategies:
Do you enjoy hanging around someone whose energy-tank is almost empty or almost full?

1. Schedule two or three refueling times into your day, every day, even if you aren’t exhausted. Keep your energy-tank closer to full than empty. Call someone to say thanks.
work. Step outside for a short stroll.
eyes until your heart rate and breathing slows. Sit with your eyes closed for a few minutes.

2. Become a sprinter. Push yourself in short bursts, then refuel. Refueling is replacing energy, not just doing nothing.

The Deadly Danger of The Word "Maybe"

You don’t like to say no, so you say maybe. But saying maybe is more harmful than saying no.

You can’t execute on maybe.
You say maybe because you falsely believe it’s helpful. In reality, you need to be liked.

“Maybe” is unhelpful commitment:
1. If I can.
2. I’ll do my best.
3. I’d like to, but I’m not sure…
4. If I don’t show up, move forward without me.

What can teammates do with your maybe? Only one thing, wait! You can’t plan and move forward
on a maybe. You say maybe because you want to feel included
and important without encumbering yourself.

“Maybe” is more selfish than no.
“Maybe” is harmful:

Every time you say maybe, you paralyze others. Should we find someone to do the job, or will
you? Will you feel offended if you show up and someone else has filled your role?

Every time you say maybe, you limit yourself. Meaningful activities require commitment, focus,
and energy.

Simplify: “Maybe” distracts and drains energy like an unscratched itch. Yes or no is simpler than maybe. Keeping all your options open results in confusion
and stagnation.

Getting to yes or no:
1. Execute on compassion. What is the compassionate thing to do?
2. Inconvenience yourself in order to do things that matter. The world isn’t changed from your couch.
3. Connect with your purpose.
4. Spend most of your time leveraging your talent.
5. Follow your energy. Engage in meaningful activities that give you energy and make a difference for others..
6. If you’re tempted to say maybe, just say no. If you need some time, tell others you’ll let them know at the end of the day, for example.
7. Engage in yes-activities; don’t dally with maybe.

Mr. Oluchi Ajimowu has been arrested by the State Department for
Criminal Investigation, Yaba, Lagos, for his alleged involvement in the death of his wife, 23 year old Priscillia Ajimowu. The couple lived with their children in Festac, Lagos before the wife's demise.

Ajimowu claims that he had locked his wife in her room on November 29, seized her phone and went
out with their two children, after they arrived from their outing, he reportedly met his wife foaming in
the mouth. His wife who was a nurse had asked to be taken to the hospital, but he allegedly refused, instead he gave her palm oil and recorded her with his phone for about 40 minutes until she died.

It was gathered that prior to her death, Ajimowu had battered and subjected the deceased to
inhuman treatment throughout the four years they spent in South Africa.

Ajimowu relocated to Nigeria four months ago while the wife arrived on November 27, two days before her
death. It was gathered that Ajimowu had put their house for sale shortly after the wife’s death.

The couple’s oldest child, seven-year-old Ella, said that there was a pesticide and a drink in the room where her mother was on the fateful
day, adding that her father was

“not nice to my mother” while they were in South Africa.
She said:
“Dad used to shout at mummy and beat her and she would be crying. That day we left her alone in the house. Daddy took the keys
and mummy’s phone and locked mummy inside.

“When we came back home, daddy parked outside, locked us inside the car and went inside. After that, he called us to ‘come, come and see your mummy on the floor’.

Mummy was saying, ‘Take me to hospital, I’m tired’. He started videoing her. He gave her red oil, but she spat it out. Her body was cold.”

The deceased’s mother, Mrs. Stella Ayobo, said her daughter had planned to visit her on the fateful day, but had cancelled the visit.
She added that Priscillia had not been happy throughout her 7 year marriage to Ajimowu .

She added that Oluchi had shortly after his wife’s death reported at the Aguda Police Division, saying a friend took poison and died in his house. She said:
“Four years ago, they went to South Africa. She always called me to report how Oluchi maltreated her.
“She came back to Nigeria on November 27.

She visited me on November 28 and
promised to visit me again the following day, being a Sunday. But that day, around 8am, she called me that she would not be able to
come again and promised to come with her children on Friday.

“Around 8pm that Sunday, her husband called me that she had been vomiting since morning and I told him to take her to the
nearest hospital. He later called me and said it was a poison she took. I told him to bring her. By the time he brought her, she was dead. We took her to a hospital and the doctor said she had died.

“He went to the Aguda Police Station to report that a girl visited him from South Africa, took poison and died in his house.”

The mother urged the police to investigate the matter in order to give justice to the family.

Priscillia’s older sister, Mrs. Emenike Dorcas, said Ajimowu had convinced her sister to come to Nigeria under the pretext that he would open a
chemist’s shop for her.

She added:
“I reported the incident to the police at Satellite Town and Aguda divisions. Policemen at Aguda were surprised when they eventually knew the truth of the matter,”.

Priscilla’s uncle, Francis Ayobo, said the suspect was not remorseful after his wife’s death. He said:
“It is so surprising that the wife was dying and the husband started videoing her. The videos were more than 40 minutes. He sent it to Priscillia’s sister in South Africa. By
that time he would have rushed her to a hospital for treatment.

“I noticed that about three other guys were in the background of one of the video because somebody was giving her water and she was foaming in the mouth. Those things
should be questioned. He was handed over to SDCI on Wednesday.”
The Lagos State Police spokesperson, DSP Joe
Offor, said the Aguda Police Station arrested the husband and have handed him over to the Satellite Town Police Division.

The deceased’s mother, Mrs. Stella Ayobo, is a member of Assemblies Of God Church,Coker Village,Orile Iganmu.Lagos. I want us all to pray that God will give the children left behind, mother and family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Let's help the mother share this post till it gets to the right source so that with the help of God justice will be done. Please share and say a word of prayer for the family using the comment box below. Thanks.

May this kind of tragedy never happen to any one of us in JESUS NAME.

How Leaders Can Inspire Their People To Achieve Greatness.

How Leaders Can Inspire Their People To Achieve Greatness.

It’s perilously easy to find a
leadership brand and stick to it,
without considering how you can
improve and expand your skills. But
even the best leaders can learn a
thing or two about how to inspire
their team. Here are few hot success advice to follow, enjoy.

1. Provide Inspiration:
Good leaders are trailblazers,
making a path for others to follow.
Great leaders, however, inspire their
people to reach higher, dream
bigger, and achieve greater. Perhaps
the most important leadership skill
you can develop is the ability to
provide inspiration to your team. If
you inspire them to reach for the
stars, they just might bring you back
the moon.

“If your actions inspire others to
dream more, learn more, do more
and become more, you are a
leader.” – John Quincy Adams

2. Teach and Learn
Smart leaders know what they don’t
know. Learning is a constant
process throughout your
professional life, and it doesn’t stop
when you’ve become a team leader.
Make sure to never stop looking for
opportunities for professional
development, and pass on the
wisdom you’ve learned to your
people.

3. Be Bold
To be a good leader, you sometimes
need to go down the untraveled
path. Being bold in the face of
uncertainty will help give your team
courage and motivate them to keep
striving when the going gets tough.

“You don’t lead by pointing and
telling people some place to go. You
lead by going to that place and
making a case.” – Ken Kesey

4. Be Humble
If learning is an important part of
leadership, then it follows humility
is an essential attribute as well.
After all, you can’t learn new things
if you cannot admit you’re a work in
progress. Be open to recognizing
your own faults, so you can grow as
both a leader and a human being.

“No man will make a great leader
who wants to do it all himself, or to
get all the credit for doing it.” –
Andrew Carnegie

5. Listen To Your People
Your people are your greatest
resource; listen to their feedback
and encourage their dreams. You
never know where your next great
idea will come from, so empower
everyone up and down the
corporate ladder to contribute and
innovate.

"To lead people, walk behind
them.” – Lao Tzu

6. Strike a Balance
Being a good leader is a balancing
act. Your leadership strategy should
never rely on just one type of
management. It might at first feel
like walking a tightrope, but soon
balancing multiple leadership
attributes will become second
nature, and allow you to lead in
multiple dimensions.

“The challenge of leadership is
to be strong, but not rude; be kind,
but not weak; be bold, but not bully;
be thoughtful, but not lazy; be
humble, but not timid; be proud, but
not arrogant; have humor, but
without folly.” – Jim Rohn

7. Tackle Challenges
To be a great leader, there’s no such
thing as a challenge too big to
handle. Once you adopt this attitude,
your people will follow suit, and
every problem will present an
opening for greater achievement.

“Don’t find fault, find a remedy.”- Henry Ford

Whether you’re leading a huge team
on a challenging project or just
trying to climb the career ladder,
these few steps can help provide some useful wisdom on how best to
deploy your leadership strategy. You will succeed. Share this article and help someone gain leadership success.

First you need to decide on the type of fish you will like to farm either cat fish or tilapia fish or any other type but before you go into any fish farming besiness, you need to make sure that you have market for it and that it sells in your community or you can sell it outside your state or country. Starting a fish farming business requires a lot of knowledge, skill and planning as the investor would have to look into a lot of variables to make the business possible.

Though starting a fish farming business would require intensive study of both the actual technique in fish production as well as the expenses one has to invest for equipments, the fish farming business is a very big profitable venture which needs no much hassle like that of poultry farming. The very first thing that any prospective fish farming business owner has to do is to  swim inside the ocean of knowledge in fish culture as possible.

It is advisable that you attend some   seminars, workshops and training programs that are related to fish
farming. If the fish farming business owner has no experience it is good that he first try and work for an established fish farming expert to know the pros in fish farming. You also need to conduct research and do in the fish farming business.

The would-be owner needs to study the conditions that surround his proposed location of the fish farm. He must take into account the source of water in the area and how much is flowing from it, what rate and the temperature of the water. He should also look into other naturally available resources around the area.

Also look into the conduciveness of the structures ,there is different type of artificial ponds available now. After looking into the conditions of the environment the entrepreneur also has to look into the possible market of the fish, get buyers ready before you crop your fishes. Every body needs fish because doctors now lay more emphasis on sea food.

You can source for buyers in fast food, restaurants, markets ,bar joints etc. Dont worry about keeping your fish for 6 months, you can now crop from 3 months up ward depending on your market. You can smoke it or sell it fresh. Cat fish and Tilapia is a good business here in Africa so consider starting your own fish farm business.

How much would everything cost and what would be the sources of the funds:  If you are starting small may be with 500 fingerlyn at the cist of #25 each then get a mobile pond with clean water, with the feeds. You can get all this price through you research before starting because the market price is not stable. Through this financial analysis the entrepreneur will know in the long run how much he needs to profit.

The Equipment you need are:Pumping Machine and Pipes,Water Testing Equipment,Tanks,Baskets and Buckets,Nets, Generator Set ,Pond Aerators.

1. Starts with juvenile fishes as a beginner instead of fingerlings.
2. Apply lime to the ponds before you introduce the fishes. Lime will kill all possible bacteria and
reduce the acidic content of the water that can affect the fish.
3. Do not overcrowd the fishes, stock based on space.
4. The ideal water temperature is 85°. The temperature affects the rate of feeding especially in catfish. They tend to eat more in warm temperature.
5. Do not overfeed them. Unconsumed feed will decompose and pollute the water thereby affecting the survival, growth and performance of the fishes.
6. Feed fishes regularly three or two times a day.
7.The pond should be kept clean at all times. Only clean and clear water should be used and the water should be changed regularly.
8. You can feed your fish with foreign or local feeds.

Lastly, you can use Earthen Pond,
Concrete Pond,Fibre Pond: These are fibre tanks e.g. GP tanks. The advantage of this pond is that it can be move from one place to another. I recommend you start catfish business.

Live stock farming is a good business to invest into and you can start from any level depending on your capital. I was an awardee of NYSC- MDG's WAP PROJECT during my NYSC year in 2011. During the 2 weeks all expenses paid training by Federal Government in Abuja, we were made to understand that live-stock farming is the next point on the agenda of the federal government and the world generally which turns anyone into a milloniare over night. There is money in this business no wonder the ex president of Nigeria is into it and he is making millions every week.

Poultry farming has proven to be very lucrative; hence you might have been tempted to start one as a form of business and source of income.
This article will teach you how to start a poultry farm business successfully and get a share on the market. Chickens are already an integral part of human life. Chickens are one of the major sources of
animal meat, aside from cow meat, pork and fish. As a business, they offer an opportunity for people to
earn big and the good thing about this business is that you can start small and grow it big, chicken is always in demand that’s why there are many poultry farms out there.

One of the major customers for poultry farms are the major fast-food outlets like MrBig,Chicken Republic, etc and individuals.
Setting up a poultry farm is not that hard, all you need is a space but if you are new into the business,i advice you to start small like me.

Here are some useful tips that can help you start:

As you know every business needs capital to get of the ground so is poultry business. Setting up a poultry farm requires a lot of money but like i said before, you can start small at least with 100 day old birds.

Poultry farming requires a plot of land or in hectare but you can start with a room space, in-fact in your backyard.

If you are starting small you need to start with 100 or 200 day old bird but you can go into a large scale with more than 500 birds above as far as you have a ready market for it.

You need a good business plan for your poultry farm, these will define your start-up costs for the farm
Construction expenses
Animal feeds, marketing and competitors. You can care for the birds from day old to 8-10 weeks by that time they will be a table size bird ready for consumption. All you need to start this business is a basic knowledge of the business.

Another important preparation is to comply with regulations. If you plan on engaging in free range farming, then you have to make sure that the
operations of your farm and the treatment of your chickens comply with regulations. Check with
your local government agencies regulating laws and regulations promulgated for poultry farms.

One important thing is adequate Medical treatment for Your Chickens. To ensure continuous production of chicken and eggs, your chickens should be regularly checked by veterinarians to ensure their health. Sick chickens will affect your production.

Note, poultry business is a business you create chance for, don't do it with i don't care attitude. You need to regularly monitor your birds for maximum growth and performance. Mind your expenses. The cost of rearing a day old chick to a table size bird around #600 and you can sell it for #1,500 that is a profit of #900. So, if you have 300 birds that is #270.000 profits on 2 months.
